Standard ceramic grout is porous and will absorb moisture overtime. Epoxy grout is waterproof and more durable than normal ceramic grouts.

Grouted particularly recommend epoxy grout in balcony areas that are exposed to harsh weather elements or have tiling fall issues (pooling water).
